This blog is currently a solo blog, which may or may not change. But heck anyway, I’m a 19-year-old Singaporean (going to be 20 very very soon). The maths and sciences agree with me academically more as opposed to languages and the arts. I used to play quite alot of tennis, but not anymore. I have a place in a local university in Singapore to study Electrical Engineering, and will be entering after I have completed my National Service.
What do I blog about?
I primarily blog about Seinen anime and manga, and ocassionally on visual novels and light novels of various genres. I am aware that the most popular anime in Japan is Shounen, but sadly Shounen anime and manga tend to disappoint me. More so for Shounen anime than manga. For example, I dropped the anime adaption of Hayate no Gotoku, but I still continue to buy the manga.
You are not likely to find anything Shoujo here, as I’ve never actually gotten into that genre. However this does not mean I’ve not experienced the genre before (I’m currently reading the Tokyo Mew Mew manga lolz).
I’m also a big fan of MOE, so you’ll find alot of anime and manga with huge doses of MOE here. I enjoy Ichigo Mashimaro, Manabi Straight! and Lucky Star immensely, to quote a few.
I don’t really like the action genre, as I feel action is best left for live-action movies and TV series. I do make some exceptions to this rule, like I do watch El Cazador for example.
Here are some definitions and listings of Seinen anime/manga and their adaptions:
